My Erdös number is 4.

My favorite language (much to my advisor's dismay) is PHP, the Perfect Hypertext Processor. Among other things, I have written a socket server supporting a multiplayer Flash-based game, a Huffman encoder, cryptographic algorithms, and financial decision algorithms in this awful, awful language.

I do stuff with both hardware and software, particularly the interface between the two (i.e., architecture). I try to find problems with computers that force them to execute my will.

Aside from occasionally knowing stuff about computers, I have also played piano since age 8. I took lessons until high school, after which I taught and played for my own enjoyment.

My beloved wife, Yu Huang, is a PhD student at the University of Michigan.
